A former cement factory in the shadow of China’s Great Wall is transformed into a business and recreation park. The renovation project focuses on the existing collection of buildings, including the mills and storage silos.

The rugged concrete structures of the industrial building ensemble are exposed through the removal of brick infill. Glass panels give transparency and light to the conference and business center in the Mills. The heroic row of 18 silos is run through with a series of leisure spaces, and crowned with a restaurant and roof terrace with a pool and views to the Wall encircling the valley.
