Perched on a clearly artificial landscaped base, the translucent mesh of the outside skin offers only a hint of the spatial complexity found within. The mesh and glass envelope encloses an intermediate space which acts as a climate buffer and mediates between the outside environment and the interior structure. Conceived as a rough-surfaced concrete structure, the cantilevers of this interior “house” push outward through the translucent mesh skin. The building houses a large Studio on the ground floor and living spaces on the three floors above.
